Hashi puzzles now available on Conceptis new websiteFriday, May 30, 2008
Classic Hashi 8x8 Following the recent release of Conceptis’ new website, free Hashi puzzles are now available for printing under Puzzles >> Hashi and will also be included on My Conceptis within weeks. The interactive online game, which is under development, will be released later this year. Conceptis Hashi selection includes puzzle sizes from 8x8 to 20x26 in seven difficulty levels from ultra easy to very hard. According to Jochen Vetter, Conceptis’ Number-Logic Product Manager, smaller ultra easy Hashi puzzles may take only five minutes to solve while larger very hard ones are promised to provide several hours of logic and fun. About HashiUnlike Sudoku, Kakuro, Hitori and Slitherlink, Hashi puzzles are solved by connecting islands with bridges according to the rules so that there is a continuous path between all islands. The Hashi brand name is registered by Nikoli Puzzles in Japan. According to Wikipedia, Hashi puzzles appeared in The Times and have also been published in English under the name Bridges or Chopsticks. In France, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Belgium Hashi puzzles are published under the name Ai-Ki-Ai. Hashi puzzles first appeared September 1990 in issue 31 of Puzzle Communication Nikoli in issue, although an earlier form of the puzzle appeared December 1989 in issue 28. Related resources |
