FAP online: the world's first program for playing Fill-a-Pix logic puzzles on the Internet

Thursday, April 1, 2004 FAP online

In line with its strategy to provide top quality puzzles, Conceptis announces the release of FAP Online, the world’s first program for playing Fill-a-Pix logic puzzles on the internet. The first FAP Online puzzles are provided in the Free Weekly Puzzles section. In addition, the company will soon increase number of free weekly puzzles in conceptispuzzles.com, says Dave Green, President of Conceptis.

The FAP Online platform provides many useful playing features, such as unlimited undo/redo steps, a docking puzzle preview window, a check puzzle button, and zoom in/zoom out viewing. A unique Smart-fill Cursor enables quick filling of 3x3 areas for faster game progress. Additional features such as Save Puzzle and Restore Puzzle will be added later this year.

FAP Online is designed for both Basic Logic and Advanced Logic puzzles, and is capable of supporting puzzles of any size up to 200 wide by 100 high. Using window scrolling and zoom, FAP Online can be used with any monitor size and all screen resolutions.

Based on the same graphic user interface as PAP (Pic-a-Pix) Online and LAP (Link-a-Pix) Online, FAP Online opens the door to a whole new world of puzzling thrills, excitement and fun.

Several concepts were experimented

To expose more logic puzzle fans to the Fill-a-Pix concept, Conceptis has also created a complimentary FAP tutorial movie. Designed by Zemah Ben-Moshe, the new FAP Flash tutorial movie is now the third in Conceptis logic puzzle tutorial series.

During the FAP Online development process, several concepts were experimented by Conceptis development staff. On February 24, the final beta-version was published in Conceptis Technical Support forum, which helped fix some bugs and implement some new features.

Conceptis would therefore like to send special thanks to all those wonderful devoted puzzlers who contributed to this process. For those of you who are interested in additional FAP Online puzzles - seven of those beta-testing puzzles are still available on this thread in the forum.
