Mozaïek now a regular magazine in The Netherlands
Monday, September 12, 2005
Mozaïek, a Puzzelsport magazine dedicated to Conceptis FAP (Fill-a-Pix) puzzles, is now a regular publication in the Netherlands. According to Rob Geensen, Puzzelsport’s Editor in Chief, the 3.50 Euros Mozaïek magazine will have a frequency of eight issues a year, with the first three issues published during the fourth quarter of 2005.
The now regular magazine contains 36 FAP Basic Logic and 6 FAP Advanced Logic puzzles with sizes ranging from 15x15 to 30x30. The 48-page 19x19 cm publication also contains a 60x30 centerfold. Mozaïek is the Dutch word for building a bigger picture from smaller parts.
As previously published in PuzzleTimes (Issue 17, December 6, 2004), a Mozaïek pilot issue was published by Puzzelsport, a division of Sanoma Uitgevers, during November 2004. After receiving positive feedback and many requests for more, Puzzelsport decided to publish the magazine as a regular publication.
At the same time a few additional changes took place in Sanoma’s picture-forming logic puzzles portfolio. According to Rob Geensen, Japanse Puzzels XXL, Zoekplaatjes and Logimix will all be published more frequently, with eight issues each year instead of six. At the same time, Japanse Puzzels in Kleur will be not be published anymore after issue 3, 2005. For those puzzle fans who love Pic-a-Pix puzzles in color, all issues of Logimix now include 9 color PAP (Pic-a-Pix) puzzles in addition to the current selection.
