King Features Syndicate, part of the Hearst Entertainment & Syndication Group, signed with Conceptis Ltd. an exclusive worldwide newspaper syndication agreement for Kakuro puzzles. The first Kakuro puzzle was offered on Monday, January 30.

The decision to syndicate Conceptis Kakuro came only 4 months after King Feature’s successful launch of Conceptis Sudoku . “The global popularity of Sudoku has led to new opportunities for other number logic puzzles as well” says Brendan Burford, Puzzle Editor of King Features Syndicate. “With Conceptis Kakuro , we can now offer our clients yet another top-quality puzzle in its category.”

Featured as Conceptis Kakuro by Dave Green, the syndicated puzzles will be offered to thousands of daily newspapers around the world with whom King Features Syndicate collaborate. Content material includes a daily puzzle in progressing difficulty, from Very Easy marked with one star on Mondays and up to Hard marked with 5 stars on the following Sundays.

According to Dave Green, president of Conceptis, the strategic partnership with King Features for Kakuro syndication is an “expansion of our excellent relationship and another important step for Conceptis into the international newspaper media market”.
