Learn! magazine publishes Conceptis logic puzzles in Singapore

Monday, December 1, 2003 Learn! magazine

Teach! and Learn! Magazines are unique independent publications specializing in the Singaporean education market. Teach! is a free monthly trade journal aimed at education professionals while Learn! is targeted at students and their parents who want to get the most out of the education system.

Being aware of the educational values which logic puzzles offer, Teach! Learn! publications have been looking for ways of bringing them to their readers in Singapore.

The first step was publishing two picture-forming logic puzzles from Conceptis in September’s issue of Learn! Magazine. The solutions to these puzzles were provided online, where visitors could also rate the puzzles and express their interest for more. According this response, Teach! Learn! Magazines will decide whether to provide more puzzles in future publications.

Teach! readers are teachers in schools, colleges and enrichment services, professors in universities and government organizations, researchers in laboratories and IT think tanks, tutors of student care and kindergartens, education industry suppliers, developers of curriculum programs and events, and policy makers such as embassies’ employees. Teach! Magazine is mailed each month to 10,000 registered subscribers and reaches approximately 25,000 readers.

Learn! Magazine was launched on June 3 and described by its publishers as a magazine “for parents who pay for education and want to know what they pay for”. Learn! is available through 100 bookshops and newsstands and offers annual subscriptions through selected schools and resellers. Circulation stands on 5,000 copies, which are sent by mail to subscriber’s homes 12 times a year.
