Enigma: New LAP magazine in the UK available for worldwide subscriptions

Thursday, May 1, 2003 Enigma

Enigma, the new bi-monthly LAP (Link-a-Pix) magazine by Puzzler Media Ltd., is available in WHSmith shops in the UK and to subscribers worldwide since May 8.

With that Enigma joins its two successful siblings: Tsunami, and Tsuper Tsunami, and is the first magazine in this series to contain some full color puzzles.

Recognizing that the logic puzzles market in the UK is still relatively unexploited, and encouraged by the positive responses to Enigma puzzles which were published in Tsunami and Tsuper Tsunami from time to time, Puzzler Media decided that the time has come for a new magazine.

According to Puzzler Media, each issue of the new magazine contains 30 B&W puzzles, 7 full color puzzles, and 1 double-page color centerfold puzzle for an ultimate enjoyment. In addition, each Enigma issue contains 6 of Conceptis' brand new Fill-a-Pix puzzles enabling puzzlers to explore and polish their logic skills in ways never known before.

Finally, to make sure no one gets too much sleep between one Enigma issue to another, there is a bonus Enigma within the Enigma; each magazine comes with an encoded title for every puzzle. Thus, for those inclined, solving the puzzles helps with breaking the code, while breaking the code helps with solving the puzzles. With this "double-puzzle" method the names of the puzzles are completely disguised and can only be read after breaking the code.

Enigma puzzles bring a fresh new dimension into the picture-forming logic puzzle genre. They are easy to learn and solve - but yet they are very addictive, provide hours of mentally stimulating experience and, not to forget, create stylish high-quality pictures in both B&W and color. They are also very easy to get started with and thus appeal to a wider range of solvers compared to the traditional Tsunami and Tsuper Tsunami puzzles. Altogether, Enigma puzzles are suitable for more people and for a wider range of ages.

Enigma magazines are priced at 2.25 Pounds Sterling each; however, according to Puzzler Media, a special 3.00-Pound discount is available for anyone subscribing before July 3. If you wish to subscribe to the new Enigma magazine, click here.
