Fill-a-Pix - a new type of picture-forming logic puzzle

Conceptis is proud to announce Fill-a-Pix - a new type of logic puzzle that form whimsical pixel-composed pictures when solved.

Similar to Pic-a-Pix and Link-a-Pix, Fill-a-Pix puzzles are also based on a grid with number- clues scattered inside. However, in Fill-a-Pix each number shows how many of the nine squares - the one with the number plus the eight around it - should be filled in. See Rules for more. Using logic, the solver determines which squares are filled in and which should remain empty until the hidden picture is completely exposed.

The original concept, which led to Fill-a-Pix puzzles, was invented by Trevor Truran almost 20 years ago. Conceptis recognized the potential of this puzzle concept and decided to invest its resources to develop it into a mainstream game. Trevor Truran is the editor of Tsunami magazine published by Puzzler Media Ltd. UK (formally known as BEAP), and inventor of the Fill-a-Pix puzzle concept.

Fill-a-Pix puzzles come in two levels: Basic Logic and Advanced Logic. Small, yet highly absorbing, Basic Logic FAP puzzles require detailed analysis while providing hours of intellectual challenge with just a pencil and paper. Basic Logic FAP puzzles require analysis of only one number at a time and are thus relatively easy and straightforward to solve.

Still small, yet so tough you'll think there's something wrong with them (or with yourself), Advanced Logic FAP puzzles contain situations where two adjacent numbers simultaneously affect the squares around them. This makes Advanced Logic FAP very challenging and rewarding to solve - another ultimate logic challenge of Picture-forming Logic puzzles. Try Fil-a-Pix for free
