Japan’s top mobile games provider switches to Conceptis Sudoku

G-mode, Japan's leading mobile game provider, now sources Sudoku as well as five other logic puzzles exclusively from Conceptis. Starting January 9, Conceptis Sudoku , Kakuro , Slitherlink , Hitori , Nurikabe and Numberlink puzzles are available to all NTT DoCoMo, Softbank and KDDI au mobile phones gamers subscribed to G-mode services in Japan.

With this new exclusive agreement, the overall number of Conceptis puzzle types provided by G-mode has grown to eight. The other puzzles includes Conceptis Fill-a-Pix (Nurie Puzzle) and Maze-a-Pix (Kururinpa) - already gaining success on G-mode's Daily Pencil Puzzles mobile portal since March 2003 and March 2006 respectively.

Previously supplied by Nikoli Puzzles, G-mode’s switch to Conceptis was coupled with a re-branding campaign as well as a service expansion to over 10 countries worldwide including Spain and France.

The re-branding campaign, amongst others, included re-naming of all puzzles. According to an official announcement by G-mode, Sudoku has been renamed to Kazu Logic; Kakuro to Tashizan Puzzle; Slitherlink to Wakka Puzzle; Hitori to Hitori Puzzle; Nurikabe to Kabe Puzzle; and Numberlink has been renamed to Pair Number.
