Conceptis establishes first subsidiary in Japan

Logic puzzle provider Conceptis Ltd. expands its worldwide presence with the establishment of Conceptis Japan Co. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary based in Tokyo.

"By operating as an independent entity, Conceptis Japan will now be able to expand its markets as well as provide more service and improved customer support” says Chie Fujisaki, manager and director of the new company. “Japan is the world leader in intellectual entertainment and we plan to leverage our presence to develop business and improve puzzle quality both within and outside Japan.”

Over 10 million pages every day

Conceptis entered the Japanese market in March 2002 with AlfaCom, a Tokyo based company providing consulting and distribution services for international high-tech companies. By May 2007, Conceptis’ customers in Japan included G-mode, Shockwave.jp, Gakken, Success Corporation, Video Publishing, Ikedashoten, Sun Magazine and several other companies altogether accounting for 15% of the company’s revenues.

Conceptis Ltd. is the leading number-logic and picture-logic puzzle supplier to magazine, newspaper, book, mobile, game console and board game providers all over the world. Every day, over 10 million pages with Conceptis puzzles are printed in 40 countries worldwide. In addition, Conceptis Ltd. cooperates with distributors in Korea, Russia, Poland, Brazil, and China.
