Conceptis logic puzzle magazine now available in Estonia

Starting from the April issue of Jaapani Mõistatused magazine all the puzzles are provided by Conceptis. Jaapani Mõistatused was launched in Estonia by Kuma Publishing late 2004, and is a quarterly magazine dedicated to PAP (Pic-a-Pix) type logic puzzles.

Priced at 11.90 Estonian Crowns (about 1US$) per issue Jaapani Mõistatused is a 14 page medium-size A4 format magazine measuring 21x30 cm. The magazine contains 15 PAP logic puzzles printed on high quality paper. Puzzle sizes range from 15x15 to 35x50 as well as a 70x40 centerfold and some 2-color puzzles for extra challenge and fun.

Conceptis PAP logic puzzles are locally branded by Kuma Publishing as Jaapani Mõistatused, meaning Japanese Puzzles when translated into English. According to Jaanus Laidna, Editor in Chief at Kuma Publishing, "the decision to publish Jaapani Mõistatused was influenced by increased interest for Japanese puzzles in Estonia".

Founded in 1988 and located at Paide, Estonia, Kuma Publishing employs a staff of about 75 people and is targeted at delivering and promoting crossword magazines to the Estonian and Latvian markets. Other than Jaapani Mõistatused, the company publishes twenty popular crossword puzzle magazines in Estonian, Latvian and Russian languages. Most popular magazines are Super Kuma (in all three languages), Kumake and Suured Ruudud.
