Puzzland publishes new logic-puzzle magazine with Conceptis puzzles in South KoreaMonday, December 1, 2003
Recognizing the educational value of picture-forming logic puzzles, Puzzleland has been including Conceptis puzzles in Orange – a new 76 page magazine containing a variety of logic puzzles. Since July 2003, several PAP (Pic-a-Pix) and LAP (Link-a-Pix) puzzles are available each month for South Korean puzzle fans. According to Puzzleland, Orange is the only magazine in South Korea dedicated to logic puzzles. Located in Seoul, Puzzleland, a supplier of puzzles, games and educational products for the Korean market, is the only company in South Korea focused exclusively on puzzles and puzzle related products. Since puzzles have educational value and are used in the South Korean education system, 70% of the market is comprised of women who purchase them for their children. Crossword and jigsaw puzzles have been popular in South Korea for a long time. However, new types of intellectual logic puzzles have also developed during the recent years and are becoming another popular activity for mental challenge and stimulation. In April 2002 Puzzleland started providing Conceptis PAP online puzzles to their website subscribers. The company’s online puzzle services department currently offers over 30 online games to 300,000 registered members and 10,000 paying subscribers in Korea. Related resources |
