Logicolor: New PAP color magazine from Keesing FranceMonday, August 4, 2003
Logicolor, a new magazine dedicated to PAP (Pic-a-Pix) color puzzles from Conceptis, has been launched on July 5 by Keesing France. Logicolor joins Logimage, the successful bi-monthly magazine containing PAP B&W puzzles from Conceptis. The first issue is a pilot test, to find out market interest in color puzzles. Upon its success, Logicolor will become a regular bi-monthly magazine. The new Logicolor magazine contains 39 PAP full color puzzles in different sizes, starting from 15X15 and going up to 40X40. The magazine also contains a huge color centerfold puzzle with the size of 70X35. The Logicolor magazine dimensions are approximately 17 cm wide by 24 cm high and the cover price in France is 4.70 €. In June 2001 Keesing France began publishing Logimage, a 50 page bi-monthly magazine dedicated to Conceptis PAP puzzles. According to Vincent Riviere, Keesing’s Logic Puzzles Editor, Logimage quickly gained success to become one of the most popular logic puzzles magazine in France. Logicolor is the next step in this direction. It is a one-shot magazine intended to test the potential of this growing market in France. "In France, the picture-forming logic puzzles market hasn't yet developed to its full potential,” says Delphine Martin, Keesing's Product Manager. “Our consumers of logic puzzle magazines are still growing month after month. About one and a half years ago we recognized there is a market space for logic puzzle magazines in France, and we have been developing it ever since. There are some new types of puzzles and new logic puzzle magazines, which we plan to launch later on this year. Logicolor was the first, while Logipix, a new magazine dedicated to Conceptis’ LAP (Link-a-Pix) puzzles will come out soon. We are also considering launching another magazine containing a mixture of logic puzzles”. According to its official publications, altogether, Keesing France sells approximately 7 millions puzzle magazines each year. Related resources |
