Sudoku Killer by Sanoma Uitgevers B.V. Netherlands

Sudoku Killer, a magazine dedicated to Conceptis’ Sum Sudoku puzzles, has been announced as regular publication in the Netherlands by Sanoma Uitgevers B.V.

Available in newsstands and bookshops at € 2.50 per issue, Sudoku Killer is targeted at advanced solvers who are looking for new challenges in logic puzzles. Sum Sudoku are an exciting merge of Sudoku and Kakuro elements in a single puzzle and are considered one of the most difficult Sudoku variants.

Sudoku Killer is a 48 page, 15x21 cm magazine containing over 40 puzzles in easy, medium and hard difficulty levels. The first issue was released as a pilot test in October 2006 before the school autumn holidays.

Following positive reader responses and good sales results of the first two issues, Sanoma Uitgevers B.V. decided to continue with Sudoku Killer as a regular magazine. Depending on holiday seasons Sudoku Killer will be in newsstands and bookshops every 6 or 8 weeks.

“It started because we liked Conceptis’ Sum Sudoku puzzle ourselves.” says Jan Lam, editor of Sanoma Uitgevers B.V. “We thought it was the most interesting Sudoku variant. Later on we were getting reader responses from puzzlers who asked for more and we knew we were right.”

Sudoku Killer is part of Sanoma's logic-puzzle series, which includes Sudoku Light, Sudoku Heavy, Sudoku Mix, Japanse Puzzels and Japanse Puzzels XXL. Sanoma Uitgevers B.V. has been Conceptis’ exclusive partner in the Netherlands since 1999.
