The PAP puzzles, or Logic Art as dubbed by Penny Press, will be highlighted as a special PLUS feature and will be available in newsstands and bookstores all over the US and Canada from the 26th of July. The 24 easy-to-moderately-difficult puzzles range in size from 15x15 to 40x50 and offer a good selection for newcomers to Logic Art. "We’re certain that Pic-a-Pix fans will enjoy this issue," says Tom Schaumann, Managing Editor of Penny Press. "Our goal is to expand the Logic Art audience to include those puzzle enthusiasts who have not yet tried this form. As they uncover the secrets to solving these puzzles, they’ll appreciate both the simplicity and the intricacy and they’ll let us know they want us to publish more." Tournament Variety Puzzles, which was first published in 1999, is America’s most popular variety magazine for challenging word, math and logic-based puzzles. According to Penny Press, the distribution of each issue exceeds 173,000. Published quarterly in January, April, July and October, the 128-page magazine showcases anywhere from 12 to 24 pages of a different puzzle in each issue. Penny Press has been publishing Conceptis PAP puzzles in Tournament Variety Puzzles magazines since 2003, typically with 5 puzzles over a 2-page spread. The interest in Logic Art has grown, so the publisher has decided to devote a PLUS feature to these puzzles. Founded in 1973 by William and Penny Kanter, the Penny Press family-run business employs over 100 people dedicated to providing a large assortment of high-quality puzzles at reasonable prices. The company has come a long way since its beginning in the founders' kitchen. Today, Penny Press publishes more than 30 puzzle magazines available on newsstands and via subscription throughout the United States and Canada. The company’s publications include Crosswords, Word Seeks®, Fill-In® puzzles, variety puzzles, and logic problems. The company also publishes several large-sized books available in stores and over 20 different puzzle-book series available through the mail and at their website. Related resources |
