Thursday, March 12, 2009 Pay-per-Puzzle: a glance at the future of

We are happy to announce that the long awaited paid content website is expected to be released before this coming summer. At that time, My Conceptis section will become a premium paid content gaming area providing more newly published puzzles each week as well as access to all weekly puzzles previously published since May 16th 2008.

Using prepaid Conceptis Credits, members will be able to buy and solve puzzles one at a time or buy discounted weekly packages containing all puzzles of any week of their choice. Paying members will also have personal archives sorted according to solving status where they can directly access all bought, saved and solved puzzles.

Conceptis Credits will initially be available for purchasing using credit cards and PayPal. Additional online payment methods such as Google Checkout, mobile SMS and local prepaid scratch cards will be considered later on.

My Conceptis will still continue to offer some free puzzles each week. However, their saved and solved information will be lost when the next weekly puzzles are published unless these puzzles are bought using credits.

A glimpse at how it works

Here are a few more details and some preview screenshots for the upcoming version of

You will notice the difference right when you get into the new My Conceptis home page (screenshot shown above). For each puzzle family you'll see exactly how many puzzles were published this week, how many you bought in the past but didn’t start playing yet, how many have been saved and how many are solved. And of course you will also see how many puzzles are still available for buying.

When visiting a puzzle family page, such as My Pic-a-Pix in the screenshot above, you will be able to navigate on a week-by-week basis and view the puzzles which have been published since May 16 2008. For each puzzle the status ellipse will show if it is available for buying, or the playing, saving and solving status in case you have already bought it.

Alternatively, you'll be able to browse your personal archives by clicking any of the My New, My Saved or My Solved buttons as well as check all puzzles still available for purchase clicking the Buy link.

Buying a puzzle

Puzzles you still haven't purchased will have a blue Buy ellipse with their Credit price tag showing underneath. Upon clicking, the process of buying the puzzle with Conceptis Credits will begin, ending with a red ellipse containing the word Play and the corresponding Credits deducted from your account. From that moment on you'll be able to play, save and solve this puzzle for as long as this website exists. For avid members who wish to save costs, a weekly package at considerable discount will be available for purchasing using a similar process.
