Puzzles can be solved in all different ways. My favorite is curled up on the sofa with a nice cup of tea, using my best coloured soft-tip pens. Different colours help me see the logic in the toughest Suduko puzzles. This is how I discovered that there can be a beauty in Sudoku solutions, which I wanted to explore.

The above is a photo of my 34x34 cm Sudoku tapestry. Each of the 9 numbers is represented by a unique colour: Red for 1, green for 2... through to 9 for yellow. Each square is made up of 9 different colors - a total of 81 colored woolen strands plus black for the lines. The puzzle was solved as it was sewn and took about 3 weeks to complete.
