New to the forum, so please be gentle :-) Our local newspaper prints a Dave Green Su Doku every day: a 1-star puzzle on Monday a 2-star puzzle on Tuesday a 3-star puzzle on Wednesday another 3-star puzzle on Thursday a 4-star puzzle on Friday another 4-star puzzle on Saturday and finally, my favourite, a 5-star puzzle on Sunday. I love the 4 and 5-star Dave Green puzzles. Where can I find more of them? Does Dave Green have a book out? Best regards, Lale http://readliterature.com

Four free sudoku's are offered each week on the free weekly puzzles page. They are updated on Sunday's. You can download the past free Sudoku's here: http://esnips.com/web/Sudoku

There are no books of Conceptis Sudoku yet. However, if you can find either of the magazines Kappa Sudoku or Blue Ribbon Sudoku (also published by Kappa), those are all puzzles supplied by Conceptis. They only go Easy, Medium, Hard and Hardest, though. But, I do have to say that a book is not a bad idea.

Actually, I think Kappa uses the Conceptis Sudoku puzzles. I just want to see some variants getting in there as well. And Dell has two Sudoku magazines, one with the X (diagonals) variant in it. Pennypress also has an Easy Sudokus magazine where every puzzle is an easy difficulty level puzzle. None of these are Conceptis however, and are available in the United States and Canada (new issues every month from Dell, every other from Pennypress, got the first six from Dell already ). On the subject of Kappa and Blue Ribbon magazines, got the first two of each of those as well; had to find one elsewhere as I didn't see that one in my main shopping place this time around, but got lucky to find the other one. Is there a way to get old conceptis sudoku variation puzzles - I would also like the weekly puzzles to be labeled easy, medium, hard, very hard. I cannot find any more sumsudoku puzzles other than the two examples anywhere.... It is the variations that I am looking for. Susan www.peltonsl@yahoo.com

I agree...the Sudokus may as well be available in an archive, there are a large number of sites with thousands upon thousands of puzzles available at your fingertips. I'm even thinking of designing a site where several 16x16 puzzles will be available daily since I have an app. that does those. I do agree that I wish the variants would be more widely available. I added an idea I saw recently into the "MultiSudoku Variants To Do" archive courtesy of a quick e-mail, as well, and would personally love to see some of those when they come out. BTW, aren't we supposed to have a subscription service by now? What happened with that? Cyclone

Susan, the numbers at the end of the puzzle number are the difficulty rating. Somewhere in the forum they are listed. If I remember correctly, Cyclone posted them and may do so again if we ask nicely.(?) Tina

Hi, Susan: I have been getting some sumsudoku (killers) at http://www.timesonline.co.uk/section/0,,202,00.html If you scroll down a bit, it has links for a daily set of puzzles that always has a sumsudoku! I hope this info is new to you.

I have ordered the Norwegian magazine "Sudoku Mix" which supposedly has over 100 Conceptis sudoku variants in each issue - I haven't received one yet but I will let you know how it is :) I love the more difficult ones too and all the books and magazines I see have too many easy ones and not enough hard ones. (I am located in Southern California, USA.)

Leena and all - I found it here on the Conceptis site. Go to "Puzzle Fans" and then "Worldwide Subscriptions." YOu can click on the link provided and contact the publisher directly. He was a very nice man and answered all my questions promptly.
