Is there any reason why this feature does not seem to work when creating a pdf file rather than printing the puzzle? This seems to be the case with all puzzles.

I agree that it would be a nice feature, but PDF viewers in my experience have "rotate" features... I think that accomplishes the same thing?

Adobe Reader definitely has rotate view.

You have to choose the option from the pdf-printer. They should have that option.

It may depend on the type of PDF program you have? I print to PDF and am able to use the "Select optimum orientation" feature. I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro 7.0. I've always just printed treating it like a regular printer.
