When I delete a number from the puzzle, a small pop up window appears and it have the numbers 18 and 9. What is it?

This is probably the "Show remainder" feature, which shows the math remainder in the block which the mouse is pointing at. You can turn this option off in the Preferences.

Can you solve this puzzle? I'm getting confused of it. Please help me to solve it. I'm a beginner, and just tried the difficult 4x4. I would appreciate your help.

That puzzle makes no sense. I have never before seen a - entry with anything other than 2 numbers involved. How are you supposed to calculate it? That certainly doesn't seem to be from this site. Does the site you took it from provide a definition for how that value is to be determined?

EDIT: Even with that piece ignored, you can still work with the 16 and 7 values. The first column will total 10 (1+2+3+4=10). Then you have 4 more squares which total the remaining 13. The only way to get that is with 2, 3, 4 and 4. The only way to fit those numbers into the grid means the square at row 3, col 3 must be a 4.

EDIT#2: In fact, you can solve the entire puzzle using only the other numbers. The next move, after placing the 4 has to do with looking at the other numbers you need for column 2, regardless of their order, to solve the 2- at the top. From there, the rest of the puzzle is easy.
