Pic-a-Pix Compact mode: More fun with larger puzzles and smaller screensWednesday, August 11, 2010
Compact mode, a new feature improving large Pic-a-Pix game play on smaller screens, is available on conceptispuzzles.com. With Compact mode, larger puzzles, including Mega Pic-a-Pix, are now displayed with big clues making these puzzles even more fun to solve online.
Inspired by a method used with mobile phone games in Japan, the Compact mode shows the clues of just one row and one column at a time. In addition to saving space normally taken up by the clue-panes on the left and the top of the grid, this method allows using much larger fonts which significantly improve readability. To activate the new mode click the Compact mode button on the Pic-a-Pix game toolbar or use the Tab key on the keyboard.
