I would concentrate on no.6 in the far left vertical column: "how low can it go" without messing the column next to it.
This is hard to explain (especially in English), but did you get any help from this?

In the third column by the left: you have a group of two pixel that are black (by the top).
This group must be part of the first "3" of the column. With this observation, you can make a big step with other group in that column!

You should be focussing on column 3. There you can mark the rows 20, 26-28 black.

Indeed, column 3 is the key for further progress.
I'm glad it is only an oversight on my side, and not some missing knowledge.
