I often try to challenge myself on easier FAP and PAP puzzles by only checking boxes to be filled, not x-ing out any blanks. In PAP puzzles, once I have all the checked boxes checked, the puzzle automatically completes itself (ie, the blanks are filled in automatically). This doesn't happen in the PAP puzzles though. Any reason why?

This happened as part of the game evolution. Many years ago we had some complaints about PAP completion so we modified the game accordingly. However, no one complained about FAP so it was left as-is.

Got it! Thanks for the explanation. If you're still open to suggestions, I would be in favor of making the FAP auto-complete in the same way that PAP does!
